Well, I couldn't do THAT with the APB LCD tower, so I needed to run things with a computer. The "Deluxe" package included fully structured racing for up to 30 people. One of them included one of the buildings I had borrowed, a snack shack, which you can see the back of above. This works very well, and gave me four pre-configured tree "areas" to place on the track. Since most of the trees were not mine, I couldn't permanently mount them. When the paint dried, I stuck the trees to the shapes of coroplast using blue-tack. I then cut those shapes out, and painted them. I set the trees up where I wanted them, and traced around them on the coroplast with a marker. Fortunately, I had some olive drab, matte spray paint. I knew I could paint it without it warping. I had some Coroplast (corrugated plastic, like cardboard but plastic) from a long ago project left over. It took some brainstorming, because I had bad experiences with cardboard and foam board being glued or painted, but I figured it out. I had the trees (owned and loaned) but I didn't want to make them permanent fixtures, nor did I want the track to look like it was MISSING things when the scenic elements weren't there.
